Meet the team

Steve Mack-Smith graduated from the Anglo European College of Chiropractic Bournemouth in 1990.

After a postgraduate year near Norwich the clinic in Bangor was opened in 1992. He joined the British Chiropractic Association after graduating to continue his post graduate studies. Also, he joined the European Chiropractic Union. In 1994 the Chiropractic Act was passed, and the General Chiropractic Council was set up to monitor the profession, to ensure that standards were maintained, and patients protected. Membership of the GCC is compulsory for all chiropractors. Later the College of Chiropractors was set up to organise Continuing Professional Development and Research and more recently the European Academy of Chiropractic was set up. Steve is a member of all these bodies, as well as being a professional member of the charity Backcare.

Steve's main interest is promoting the profession through the medium of Welsh, and encouraging more Welsh speakers to become chiropractors. Ten years ago a course was set up at The University of Glamorgan. Although chiropractors mainly work on the spine, Steve also specialises in treating the bones in the arms and legs.

Since 1995 Steve has been running a course for chiropractic graduates in North West England and North Wales.

In 2007 he became a BCA member of ARMA to help promote musculo skeletal services in Gwynedd. Now he is chairman of the Joint Services Advisory Committee providing patient oversight to musculoskeletal services throughout North Wales.

Steve is available to give talks either to members of the public or professionals in English or Welsh.

Hello, my name is Jin. I was born in Malaysia, and spent a lot of my upbringing in the outback of Adelaide. My first degree was in Genetics, Microbiology and Immunology.

Australia has deeply influenced my approach to life. Having lived in a countryside area, I understand the unique challenges that come with accessing healthcare in these communities. My background helps me relate to patients from similar environments, allowing me to foster trust and open communication. I believe that culturally sensitive care is essential, and I strive to incorporate the values and traditions of countryside living into my practice including community health and holistic care.

I decided to be a Chiropractor after experiencing Chiropractic treatment for an ankle injury, and decided to train in Wales at WIOC as it has one of the best reputations in the world. I graduated from the University of South Wales in 2023/24 year. With 1 year (2024) of working experience as Senior Student Clinician in Welsh Institute of Chiropractic (WIOC) Clinic. By joining Clinig Ceiropracteg - one of the great chiropractic clinics in the North Wales region - I'm looking to extend my knowledge into Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Outside of work, I enjoy coffee session, hiking, cooking, and gym exercise, which helps me maintain a balanced and positive outlook. I believe that engaging in hobbies not only enriches my life but also enhances my ability to connect with patients.
